I went into that island of Springfield with hopes that it was a meme season and these bosses slap. Fortnite Simpsons crossover is not a simple cartoon skins, cheap laughs thing, but three bosses that can be played with real weapons that will alter the very way of playing. This is all that I knew hunting Evil Homer, Witch Marge and Krusty through this cel-shaded travesty.
The Three Bosses You Are Chasing.
There are three bosses characters in season seven of the Simpsons, and they are no light weight. They all turn in various loot, and to tell the truth? There are the ones that are well worth your time.
Evil Homer carries Mythic Enhanced Tactical Shotgun. This knocks 101 per shot with a fire rate that is simply a mockery of rate. When you allow him to get near, that is it. I discovered it the twice: with hardship. Keep back, and bring in an AR/sniper and do not attempt to close on him until you are loaded with max shield and have a death wish.
Witch Marge rides her broom with the help of an Enhanced Compact SMG which burns Light Bullets as it flies by craziness. It has the best DPS of any mythic weapon of this season and it would be nice until you notice that you would be using ammunition in just a few seconds. You have a shot to fight her between mid-to-long-range using an assault rifle.
The jewel in the crown is Krusty the Clown. His Mr. Blasty foreigner revolver is steadily smashed. Each and every mag, once shot, ties a balloon to whoever you hit and sends them flying in the sky. Besides, it discharges quicker than usual revolvers and it can kill the majority of players in two shots. It is this weapon that causes everybody to be after Krusty first.
The places which These Bosses Grow like weeds.
The frustrating thing about this is that bosses come up at any point in time. As compared to the past seasons where you had to just land somewhere, now-day The Simpsons bosses alternate the locations in each match. But I’ve noticed patterns.
- Based on your spawn rate figures, you have the best chance of:
- Kamp Krusty: 14%
- South of Kamp Krusty: 14%
- East of Evergreen Terrace (around the Gorge): 13.3%.
The catch? Bosses don’t all spawn at once. One comes when the circle of the first storm is closed, and another after the circle of the second and the third circle. Therefore, you cannot simply speed-run all the three unless you are surviving late into the game.
My plan: take a car at the beginning and go to the southern/western part of the map. When you get close enough, Bosses appear on your minimap and you can also see their character icon. Autos allow you to travel distances before other parties get over you.
Heliborne Warfare Tactics That Work.
Every boss requires an alternative approach. The things I have learned after being wrecked a few times are as follows:
For Evil Homer: Stay at range. His shotgun is going to pulverize you should you nudge. Through permanent punches of Striker ARs or snipers, I make him fall down at least 30 meters away. Come heals–even as you avoid the majority of the firing, a single album will cut you fighter.
In the case of Witch Marge: Do not get caught in the spray of her spray. That SMG tears through armor and vitality quicker than you presume. Engage from 50+ meters with an AR. Use of the word gap, disengage instantly. It’s not worth the trade.
In the case of Krusty: He is more killable than the rest, but that balloon mechanic is mad. In case you are hurled into a fight, you have to take those few seconds in air. Repeat: do not stay still when communicating with him.
The Real Reality: Other Competitors.
It is not the bosses that are the tough part–it is the five other squads who are also after them. Krusty is particularly a battlefield. I have played matches where four different teams came immediately but none of them loot and we were all killed by third parties.
The following works: find a place where there are no people first, steal as much as possible, and then get to the hotspots of bosses in the middle of the game when the place is not as full. Well, you may miss the initial spawning of a boss but you are more than much likely to actually get the kill and loot without being wiped off the moment.
Nothing like the Best Weapons to Carry to Boss Hunting.
The loot pool this season is quite good as far as boss fights are concerned. I’ve been running:
- Striker AR or Suppressed AR: Your meat-and-potatoes on mid-range bosses.
- Tactical Shotgun: Violent Homer has gone too far or you have to clean up other players.
- Shockwave Grenades: Escape device when the battle gets out of control (which it will)
- Mending things: Krusty Burgers and Duff Splashes of bosses, or simply piling on of medkits.
The mechanics of the new season are the hitscan, which implies that your shots are counted immediately, and aim is of paramount importance now. No longer point-and-shoot targets… point and click.
XP Farming and Quest Efficiency.
Starving to bits? You want to go through the Springfield Stories quests. They all yield 1,000 XP, and have a 30K bonus at each of the three quests. You can also play with bosses, without fighting them and achieve some quest steps by simply being near them and spam their emotes so they are recorded.
To gain pure XP, YouTube channels such as Whoods display no-timer Creative maps where you can AFK farm levels. Not the most exciting, but it works in case you are only interested in battle pass rewards.
What Boss do you think you should give priority to?
Krusty. Anytime. It is not even worth debating that Mr. Blasty is the most overpowered weapon in this season. The balloon mechanic provides you with all sorts of madness in battles, you can position enemies in a dangerous position, intercept a revive, or, just, fire at them when they are not on the ground.
The SMG of the witch Marge has the highest DPS, although you are likely to run out of ammunition at an unreasonable rate. Evil Homer has a powerful shotgun, and only when you are not afraid to engage in super aggressive close-range shooting.
The Springfield Island Map
The smaller map that is used in the game is smaller than usual, 80 players compared with 100 players. There are nine significant POIs such as the Springfield nuclear power plant, Evergreen terrace, and Kamp Krusty. It is small, so the battles take shorter time and you can move more between the zones of bosses.
Accidents such as Nuclear Plant meltdowns are random and introduce disorder during the match resulting in forced rotations and third-party bosses. Monitor map expectations.
